🎂 Age Limit

Age Limit as on 01/12/2026

Minimum Age: No minimum age limit specified

Maximum Age: 30 years for JRF

No upper age limit for Assistant Professor and Ph.D. admission.

Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)	Master's degree or equivalent with 55% marks for General/Unreserved/General-EWS candidates and 50% marks for OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/PwBD/Third Gender candidates. Final-year/result-awaited candidates may apply provisionally, subject to prescribed conditions.
Assistant Professor	Master's degree or equivalent with 55% marks for General/Unreserved/General-EWS candidates and 50% marks for OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/PwBD/Third Gender candidates. Final-year/result-awaited candidates may apply provisionally.
Ph.D. Admission	Candidates qualifying through UGC-NET can be eligible for Ph.D. admission as per applicable UGC-NET provisions. Candidates qualifying through a Four-Year Bachelor's Degree can be eligible for Ph.D. admission, but not for appointment as Assistant Professor.

Apply Online:

Visit the official NTA UGC NET website and start the online registration using your own Email ID and Mobile Number.
Registration:

Complete the registration process through the available Meri Pehchaan/SSO option and create your application credentials.
Application Form:

Fill in your personal, educational, category and other required details carefully and note down the system-generated Application Number.
Upload Documents:

Upload the live photograph, recent photograph, signature and applicable Disability/UDID certificate in the prescribed format and size.
Check Details:

Carefully review all the information entered in the application form before proceeding with payment.
Fee Payment:

Pay the examination fee through SBI/CANARA/UBI, Debit Card, Credit Card or UPI and keep the payment proof safely.
Final Submission:

Submit the completed application form successfully after payment of the required fee.
Confirmation Page:

Download, save and print the Confirmation Page for future reference; it becomes downloadable after successful fee payment.
