Maximum Age For JRF: 30 years

For Assistant Professor: No Upper Age Limit

UGC NET December 2025 – Educational Qualification
Criteria	Details
Minimum Qualification	Master's Degree or equivalent in the concerned subject from a recognized university.
Minimum Marks	General / Unreserved / General-EWS: 55% marks (without rounding off) OBC-NCL / SC / ST / PwD / Third Gender: 50% marks
Final Year Students	Candidates appearing in the final semester of their Master’s Degree or awaiting results can also apply. They must complete eligibility within 2 years.
Ph.D. Holders (Before 19 September 1991)	Candidates who completed Ph.D. before 19.09.1991 are eligible for 5% relaxation in aggregate marks (i.e., 55% → 50%).
